Samantha Wilson

Samantha is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and a second year clinical doctoral student. Samantha has over ten years of experience working with children and adults in the mental health field. She obtained her graduate degree from Columbia University, where she focused on systemic and community trauma impacting mental health. She has since worked with high risk youth (symptoms of psychoses, suicidality, self-harm behaviors) and their families; adults struggling with complex trauma, psychoses, and substance abuse; and offers clinical supervision on challenging cases. Samantha is also obtaining her neuroscience credential from UC Berkeley. She has a passion for neuro and biofeedback, and her therapeutic approach focuses on the health of the brain.

Samantha provides therapy for individuals, families, couples, children and teens. She creates individualized treatment plans for every client based on their goals, diagnosis and learning style.
She offers CBT, mindfulness and distress tolerance (DBT techniques), and psychodynamic. She is trained in TF-CBT and Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy (DDP, focused on attachment). Additionally, she is pursuing certification in EMDR.
Samantha is completing her doctoral practicum at ADR, where she provides individual therapy to both children and adults, as well as neuropsychological testing.
The Therapists at ADR are compassionate and supportive and have all received specialized training and formal education in diagnostics, mental health treatment, trauma informed treatment, and culturally competent care.
