WE ARE HERE TO HELP

Dr. Negar Bastanfard

(she/her)
Psychological Associate

I believe in the power of culturally informed, trauma-focused therapy to help people understand themselves more deeply and move toward meaningful change. I work with adults and older adolescents, particularly those navigating trauma, identity development, and long-standing emotional or relational patterns connected to personality dynamics. My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care.

I integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and I’m especially interested in how personality traits, early experiences, and cultural identity shape emotional well-being. I enjoy helping clients explore how their history and sense of self influence current challenges, while supporting them in developing healthier, more adaptive patterns.

As someone who is bilingual in English and Farsi, I bring a culturally sensitive lens to therapy. I value incorporating culture, heritage, and identity into the healing process when it feels meaningful to each client.

Whether you’re working through trauma, identity concerns, disordered eating, or patterns linked to personality dynamics, I’m here to support you with compassion and clarity.
